This was our first time photographing a wedding at the Madison Hotel in Morristown, New Jersey. And I have to say it was an incredible experience. It is truly a gorgeous and unique space. We were even more amazed when we saw the Madison Hotel Observatory decorated for the wedding ceremony.
Lisa, the bride, did a great job finding a wonderful team of florists that created this breathtaking ceremony set up. They literally brought two huge trees with them, tons candles to hang on it, gorgeous burgundy curtain for the backdrop and some amazing uplighting to illuminate the scene. All this was perfectly matched the bride's elegant, high-end, edgy and dramatic style.
Lisa and Gary's wedding ceremony was one of the most unforgettable and touching portion of their day. It was a great honor to both witness and document them saying their beautiful vows, listening to their family members' readings, see their tears of happiness and joy, watch these two beautiful souls becoming a family.
From the technical photography side, it was crucial to render the same colors on the photographs, without killing the ambience of the entire scene. Thanks to our camera's high ISO capability, it was possible to document the entire ceremony with natural light only, without any additional flash set up.
