Amanda and Ryan contacted us about their Ballroom at the Ben wedding about two years ago. It is crazy how fast the time flew by! We photographed their engagement session in Newtown a year ago and since then we couldn’t wait for their Big Day to come!
Kimpton Hotel Monaco Wedding Preparation
The bride and groom were both getting ready at Kimpton Hotel Monaco in Philadelphia, accompanied by their families and bridal party. This portion of the day was filled with tons of beautiful moments! Some of the most memorable ones were of Amanda’s mom and sister helping her to put the wedding dress on, Amanda’s dad seeing her for the first time, bridesmaids reaction once they saw Amanda – and so much more which made this day so special!
First Look at the Second National Bank if the United States
Amanda and Ryan chose to see each other for the first time prior to the ceremony. They wanted to have the Second National Bank of the US as their backdrop for the first look. It was raining during preparations, so we waited until the last minute and it, fortunately, stopped raining right when it was time for the bride and groom’s first look. Amanda and Ryan’s reaction to seeing each other for the first time was truly beautiful and very emotional. It was an incredible moment to document! Right after the first look, we did a few portraits of the bride and groom together by the Second National Bank and it was time to leave for the wedding ceremony at Saint Augustine Church.
Saint Augustine Church Wedding Ceremony
Saint Augustine Church in Philadelphia is one of my favorite places to document wedding ceremonies! Its gorgeous bright interior and glossy aisle and other stunning details benefit a lot for unique wedding ceremony photographs. Amanda and Ryan’s ceremony was filled with lots of memorable moments and it was an honor to witness and document all of them unfolding in front of us.
Once the ceremony was over, we headed to the Rodin Museum for family and bridal party photos.
Rodin Musem Wedding Photos
The Rodin Museum on Ben Franklin Parkway was Amanda and Ryan’s primary destination for wedding photographs. Even though we are always happy to provide our brides and grooms with location suggestions, I love when our couples pick the location that they really love for their wedding photographs! The Rodin Museum served as a perfect backdrop for both family and bridal party photos. We were lucky to capture a few stunning portraits of Amanda and Ryan together on the steps of the Rodin Museum before it started raining again. On our way to the wedding reception at Ballroom at the Ben, we did a quick stop at Philadelphia City Hall for some additional photos of the bride and groom together.
Ballroom at The Ben Wedding Reception
Amanda and Ryan had one of a kind wedding reception at Ballroom at The Ben. As always, Finley team did an exceptional job providing one of a kind wedding celebration experience for all of the guests.
The entire day was coordinated by the phenomenal Lisa Marie Chimento of Kaleidoscope Weddings. Carl Allan Florist created some magic with all of the floral decor and The Mascarade band provided exceptional entertainment for the night. Ballroom at the Ben looked magnificent. It was such an exquisite and majestic backdrop for this Philadelphia wedding reception! It was amazing to both witness and document all of the beautiful dances, speeches and all of the moments in between during this unforgettable night for Amanda and Ryan.
We wrapped things up with a few nighttime portraits of the bride and groom together on the balcony of the Ballroom at the Ben. It was a marvelous ending to such a wonderful day. Amanda and Ryan, thank you so much for letting us be a part of your day and document your story! It is one of the most beautiful ones! And we cannot wait to see what great things the future holds for you!
