As a Philadelphia wedding photographer, I am always happy to provide our clients with the best location recommendations for their photographs. With an experience of photographing almost 200 weddings, I have a good eye for what will look best during each season, what will be a perfect match with your wedding color palette and what style each location belongs to.
As you can see below, I've put together a list of some of my favorite Philadelphia locations to photograph at. This is definitely not the list of all of the great locations out there, but some of the most popular and spectacular.
Being an iconic spot for a huge number of weddings each year, Philadelphia City Hall has become a staple backdrop for a wedding portrait. Even though I've photographed at the City Hall a countless number of times, this Philadelphia's architectural masterpiece amazes and inspires me every single time. I never ever get bored to photograph our clients there. The beauty of Philadelphia City Hall is its impeccable variety of breathtaking backdrops. Whether it is a Broad Street wedding photo with the City Hall in the background or a dramatic photo of the bride and groom on the stone stairs inside the building, the results are always phenomenal.
The picture you can see above is one of my most favorite wedding photos we've ever photographed at Philadelphia City Hall. The bride had a very clear vision of the look she wanted to her wedding photos and the City Hall staircase was her most loved feature of this building. The best part is that this image was one hundred percent a candid moment. After taking a few beautiful portraits all the way up on the stairs, the bride and groom were about to walk down the steps and I've instantly notices how gracefully and romantic that scene looked. Sometimes it is the second unplanned shot that wins the game and not the one that you perfectly planned ahead of time.
