Saint Augustine Catholic Church in Philadelphia is one of the most beautiful churches in the Old City we have ever photographed at. It is a huge, majestic, architectural masterpiece of breathtaking beauty.
Located in the heart of the city of Philadelphia, this church is very popular for wedding ceremonies. It features some of the most spectacular wall paintings and murals, immense ceilings and shiny surfaces.
This photograph was taken at one of the wedding ceremonies we were documenting at St. Augustine Church. The bride and groom started their morning of preparations at Hotel Monaco in Philadelphia, where they had their first looks as well. We arrived at the church ahead of time in order to take all of the family formals. I must admit that the bride had some brilliant organization skills and she planned the wedding timeline in a perfect way. Everything ran smoothly and we had plenty of time to document each portion the day exactly as the couple had planned.
I absolutely love this sweet moment of the bride and groom having a glance at each other. Moments like this tell the story of the day in a deeper and more meaningful way. They might not remember having this moment, but how wonderful it would be to look at this photograph afterwards and relive all the emotions and memories again!
The only light used to lit this scene was the natural light that was coming from the church ceiling.
